Fun & Caring Dog Boarding Services in Guelph
At Pinetree Pet Resort, we offer year-round boarding for all dogs in a caring and supervised environment. We’ll give your dog the care they need while you are away! If requested, we provide active play, like ball catching to a peaceful easy stroll or cuddles for the little ones or senior dogs, in any of our green areas. There is access to an indoor, heated activity area in case of bad weather.
If it is the first time your dog will be away from home we encourage you to book some playtime in our off-leash dog park to make sure they become familiar with our facility. While you are here, try to be calm and relaxed and talk to your pet about the facility in a positive way to assure your dog.
Admission Requirements
As a responsible pet owner, there are a few things you must attend to before bringing your pet for boarding or daycare.
Make sure that your dog is up-to-date on all of the following vaccinations:
- Rabies (only for dogs older than 15 weeks)
- Distemper Combo (short form: DHPP or DA2PP)
- Bordetella (Canine Cough)
- EIf it is the first time they are receiving the Bordetella vaccine, it should be done at least 1 week before coming for boarding or daycare.
- Your pet should be free of internal and external parasites and not have been exposed to any contagious disease (such as Canine Cough) within the 2 weeks prior to boarding/daycare.
- Inform the staff if your dog has any special needs, such as medication, allergies, or health problems.
- Do not feed your dog at least 4 hours prior to transportation, to minimize upset stomach.
- To give your pet some comfort, toys, and beds from home are always welcome.
- Bedding must be machine washable.
- It is important that you bring enough of your dog’s food for their stay plus some extra just in case.
We reserve the right to deny admittance to pets that lack proof of vaccinations, pets displaying signs of untreated or potentially contagious health conditions, and/or aggressive behaviour. We reserve the right to charge handling fees for excessively difficult or aggressive pets, requiring additional staff and/ or additional time in order that we may deliver the proper care.
Any dog requiring medical attention will be taken to their primary Veterinarian or the closest emergency vet clinic. Charges will be at the owner’s expense. Every effort will be taken to contact the owner or emergency contact prior to treatment.
Upon admission for services, your signature of the contract acknowledges your awareness and acceptance of our policies. The minimum age for all services is 3 months, with a minimum of the first set of vaccinations in addition to the Bordetella vaccine.

Transportation service is only available for addresses within 50 kilometers of us. How much the fee is will depend on the distance.
Extra Care/Cleaning Fee
$6 to $10 per day
The fee is charged for dogs who frequently urinate or defecate inside or for dogs who require care beyond the normal needs of a dog (ex. cleaning wounds or mobility assistance).

Cat Boarding & Daycare
The bright, private and temperature-controlled area for cats at Pinetree Pet Resort provides a relaxing atmosphere with soft music and a cozy ambiance.
Comfortable & Caring Cat Boarding Services in Guelph
Sociable cats are given individual time to explore the cat room at the owner’s request. All toys and beds are welcome and their own feeding dishes, so the cat will feel comfortable and at home. It is important to bring your cat’s standard diet and treats to avoid digestive problems.
Admission Requirements
All of the preparations by the pet owner merely help for a successful boarding experience for your pet. As a responsible pet owner, there are a few things you must attend to before bringing your pet into boarding:
- Make sure all immunizations are current.
- Rabies, 1-3 years (kitty six months of age)
- FVRCP 1-3 years
- FeLV, recommended but not required
- All vaccinations records must be from a licensed Veterinarian.
- Your cat should be free of internal and external parasites and not have been exposed to any contagious disease (at least 48hrs, previous boarding).
- Inform the staff if your cat has any special needs, such as medication, allergies or health problems.
- Do not feed your cat at least 4 hours prior transportation, to minimize upset stomach.
- In most cases, it is better to bring your cat’s own food to avoid stomach problems during boarding.
- To give your cat some comfort, toy and beds from home are always welcome. Bedding needs to be machine washable.

Each cat is assigned an individual three-level cat suite. Cats from the same home can share a large cat suite. The Cat Room is supervised by experienced staff, ensuring your cat’s constant care and safety.
